Battle of the Books

Welcome to our Battle of the Books page!

Battle of the Books is a reading competition sponsored by the North Carolina School Library Media Association. Participants read from a list of 27 books, practice answering questions about those books, and compete against other schools.

You can download the 2015-2016 Book List here. To find out more about the North Carolina Battle of the Books program, visit the NCSLMA website.  As the school year goes on, you can check for updates regarding team practices, guidelines, etc.

The Battle of the Books competition is right around the corner! Our county competition will be held on Friday, March 4th at Joslyn Hall at the Carteret Community College.

Good Luck NMS Battle of the Books Team

Our Battle of the Books team will be going to Joslyn Hall at Carteret Community College on March 4th, 2016 to compete against other middle schools in the county. These students have been reading from a list of 27 books in order to compete in this annual event. They are an outstanding group, and will be great representatives for our school.
