Attention Parents of 8th Grade Students

During the weeks of March 19th-April 27th all 8th Graders in Carteret County Schools have the option of participating in an anonymous survey to learn more about youth alcohol, tobacco, and drug abuse, risk factors, availability of substances in our community and violence.  In order to provide adequate information for program planning we encourage as many students as possible to participate in the survey.  Completing this survey is completely voluntary.  If you do not wish for your student to complete the survey please inform Central Office in writing before April 20th, as the survey will be administered beginning the week of April 23rd.  If you would like to see the survey there is a copy in the Principal's Office.   For any further information please contact Sue Kreuser at 252.728.4583 ext. 1112.

Thank you in advance for allowing your student to participate and help support our efforts in designing programs to help students understand that substances can be harmful to their health and safety.

EOG Testing Information---Proctors Needed

EOG Testing is coming soon.  It is extremely important that your student be in attendance for these tests on the following dates: 5/25, 5/30, 5/31, 6/1.  Every Testing Room must have a proctor which means we need approximately 40 volunteer proctors each of these days from 7:30am-11:45am.  If you are available to help please contact Don Griffin at 252.223.3482 ext 231 or email donald.griffin@carteretk12.org.

If you are a member of a community group that would like to help, please pass this information along to them as well.

Each day someone proctors, their names will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card to a local restaurant.  The winning proctor will be notified on Friday June 1.
